Martinis on the Avenue Fundraiser!, Oct 29

On Thursday, October 29, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm there will be the return of the fifth annual Martinis on the Avenue! Try out the new Halloween-tini, and support St Marks Area Main Street (SMAMS) and Fields Corner Main Street as they revitalize our Dot Ave business districts.

To add to the fun and get warmed up for Halloween, come in costume for a chance at a great prize!

Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door. Admission includes the Blarney's great hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and a live auction.

Trick-Or-Treat Canned Food Drive, Oct 31

...to Help our Food Pantries

This Halloween the Dorchester Youth Council will hit the streets for their 7th Annual Trick-or-Treat Canned Drive. The Youth Council has collected thousands of cans from Melville Park in the past and we have extended the invitation this year to the Ashmont Hill and Fields Corner neighborhoods. We will need volunteers to donate both time and canned goods to make this year just as successful. >> Read More

DotBike Public Art Ride, Oct 24

DotBike Public Art Ride takes place this Saturday Oct 24th at 10 a.m. Meet (with your bike) in Codman Square in front of Great Hall, 6 Norfolk St, 02124 to view outdoor public art in our neighborhood.

The ride is relaxed paced and about 8 miles with several brief stops. This year's route will be similar to last year's although new twists, turns and art may appear. We’ll also be pointing out locations of studios that will be open from noon to five for Dorchester Open Studios happening on Saturday and on Sunday.
