City to Close Fields Corner Cut-through
The city's Department of Public Works will temporarily close off the cut-through connecting Adams Street and Dorchester Avenue in the heart of Fields Corner next week, the mayor's office said on Wednesday. The connection presently allows drivers traveling southbound on Dorchester Avenue to take a right onto Adams. They are going to temporarily close off the cut-through with a jersey barrier and take traffic counts in order to gauge the impact to the local traffic circulation patterns, Jennifer Mehigan, a spokesperson for the mayor said in a statement.
The barrier will be put in place on May 28, she said.
