We want to tell you about a big event upcoming this summer, and to ask for your help in promoting it.
Our neighborhood will host a Music
Concert in Dorchester Park, featuring Boston's Landmarks Orchestra
under the direction of conductor Charles Ansbacher. The Boston
Landmarks Orchestra is one of only two professional orchestras in the
country whose mission is to perform all free concerts. Over 160,000
people have attended more than 125 concerts during the past seven years. The Landmarks Orchestra utilizes some of the finest
musicians in Boston to help create a vibrant cultural scene all summer
long, including summer-long Wednesday night concerts at the Hatch Shell
on the Charles River. Now that we have arranged to have our own local
performance in Dot Park, it surely will add to the seasons enjoyment
for scores of local residents. We are proud to serve as co-chair of the Dorchester Host
Committee, and it is my hope that upwards of a thousand neighbors will
join us in Dot Park for the concert, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. We
are hoping that you will agree to join with us in hosting this event. As a member of the Host committee, we ask two simple steps:
1.- tell your employees and customers about this wonderful event, and encourage them to attend;
2.- sponsor the concert, it is that easy- no meetings to attend, just help us promote this unique attraction for the community. Sponsors are asked to contribute amounts of $500 or
$1000, and we are seeking just 20 local businesses to join us in
support. All donations are fully tax deductible.
