Special Events Coordinator

Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing mentoring agency! Big Sister Association of Greater Boston is the largest and oldest mentoring organization in Greater Boston exclusively serving girls.  Join our Development Team as a Special Events Coordinator.  Big Sister’s Development Team is responsible for raising 81% of the agency’s operating budget each year through special events, corporate and foundation requests and individual giving.  Responsibilities include the coordination of all fundraising event details such as managing mailings, auctions and raffles and serving as liaison with hotels and high level volunteers.  The coordinator will provide support to the Board of Directors, event co-chairs and committees as they relate to special event fundraising.  This position reports to the Chief Development Officer.  Requires BA/BS, 1-2 years in event planning or project management with strong organization and communication skills.  Big Sister is committed to hiring staff who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.   If you are interested in working at a well-established, fast-paced and supportive organization committed to serving girls, please apply.
