The deadline to register for Dorchester Open Studios has been extended to Monday, Sept. 1.  Visit www.thedac.org to register.  Late registration will also be available, but the fee will be higher and late registrations will not be guaranteed inclusion in the printed program materials.  
 
The 8th annual Dorchester Open Studios will take place on October 25 & 26, 2008 at various locations throughout Dorchester.  For those of you who aren’t familiar, Dorchester Open Studios is an opportunity for artists who live, work and/or play in Dorchester to showcase and sell their work either at their own artist studios or at multi-artist shared space at First Parish Church, the Great Hall in Codman Square or The Boston Home.  It's also an opportunity to make contact & network with Dorchester artists, and to bring in art lovers from outside our neighborhoods to show off Dorchester at its best.  It's really a multifaceted opportunity for all of us who care about our town.
 
In previous years, we've had approximately 100 participating artists and 4000 audience.  We would like to see both numbers grow and grow and hope that if you have participated in the past, you will do so again.  And, if you are new to Dorchester Open Studios, we strongly encourage you to get involved.
