on Saturday August 16, 11-4
at Malibu Beach on Morrissey Boulevard.

The free one day outdoor event will feature games, contests, interactive
presentations and numerous activities.
Local environmental, artistic, marine, recreational, historical, health,
and government agencies, and other renowned institutions are
participating.
All activities will promote health and wellness; sun, water and bike
safety; recycling and conservation.

Come see historic maps and photos depicting the rich history of this area.

Observe & handle live local tidal pool animals at the N.E. Aquarium’s
Traveling Tidal Pool exhibit.
Learn about native marine life by embarking on an eco-scavenger hunt.
Join in field games, art activities and more!
Face painting, moon bounce, kite decorating & flying.
Toddlers to seniors, something for all!

Please join us for the first Dorchester Beach Festival, a celebration of
the ever-improving Dorchester waterfront.

It is a short stroll from Savin Hill T station.

Or ride your bike!
DotBike is encouraging folks to ride to the beach, by leading an escorted
bike path ride along the Neponset Greenway so folks can drive their bikes
to a parking area then ride a short distance to the beach.
The group is also marking routes to bike along Dorchester's streets.
From Park Street at Dorchester Avenue the beach is less than a mile away,
or a 15 minute ride.
Most areas in Dorchester are less than a 20 minute ride away from the
beach.
The marked routes follow public roadways in a safe manner, i.e., no wrong
way down one way streets, crossings at traffic signals.
Once you arrive at the beach, there will be secure valet bike parking.
