Enjoy these and other special events at ¡Merengue! Visual Rhythms/Ritmos Visuales, a major traveling exhibition featuring more than forty works by twenty-eight historical and contemporary artists from the Dominican Republic for its only New England stop at the Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists. The paintings in Merengue visualize music!

October 18 (2:30-4:30) Merengue & Me: Personal Perspectives with Pirula y sus Piruitas Children's Readings.
October 19 (2:00) Merengue & Me: Gallery Stroll with Hector Ledesma, artist trained at the National School of Fine Art, APECT University and the Altos de Chavon Art & Design School in Dominican Republic. He has had over 80 individual and collective exhibits internationally.
October 26 (2:00) Merengue & Me: Gallery Stroll with Camilo Alvarez, owner, Samson Galleries and Planning Committee Member: Merengue! Visual Rhythms Exhibit.
Costs: Free for school groups
