Last night I had the pleasure of not only volunteering but attending the Book Signing at 450 and it
was informative and yet interesting. I got to speak with Mel King a man who ran for Mayor when I was younger - "The Rainbow Coalition"

Most important our SCI's volunteers were great. Our first-time volunteers enjoyed themselves and
the feedback from was very beneficial and positive to hear; they stated they would do it all over again and can't wait until the next event!

We had volunteers at the front door who were very professional and pleasant as greeters. We had a
volunteer clean-up group who was impeccable in their efforts to make our 450 Center spotless.
The evening itself was very tranquil, as
relaxing melodies played on the nearby piano. I hope this will get others perhaps thinking that maybe it is time to get involved in my community.
